Green sea turtles are amazing creatures! Did you know that they’re as old as dinosaurs and can be as heavy as motorbikes? They are one of the biggest hard-shelled sea turtles in the world. They love swimming through tropical or warm subtropical ocean waters, feasting on seaweed and holding their breath for up to five hours. These incredible creatures play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our ocean ecosystems by grazing on seagrass, which helps promote underwater habitats. However, they face severe threats from habitat loss, pollution, and illegal trade. 💔
Take action today: Support conservation efforts, reduce plastic use, and spread awareness. Together, we can ensure a thriving future for Green Sea Turtles and our precious marine ecosystems! 💚

To help speed up the resolution of water users’ concerns, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through its 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐖𝐑𝐌𝐎) recently opened the ‘Wag Pataksaya Hotline for water-related concerns from the public and help facilitate proper action from their concerned water service provider (WSP).
According to DENR Undersecretary for Integrated Environmental Science and concurrent WRMO Head Dr. Carlos Primo C. David, the hotline is an automated system that will serve to bridge consumers to their respective water service providers, ensuring that concerns reach the right authorities and the appropriate WSP in their area, efficiently, promptly and accurately.
As the lead coordinating body of the water sector, the WRMO is able to refer any concerns to DENR-attached agencies: MWSS for Metro Manila, Water Districts for regional town services, and the National Water Resources Board for private sector WSPs. “They can send to us any concern, from meter readings to billing issues and water interruptions, and we will follow through with their concerns until these are addressed and resolved,” said Undersecretary David. He clarified that WRMO does not directly handle water-related issues nor provide direct water services or repairs but will assist in expediting the concerns brought to their office.
To file their concerns, the public may fill out the National Water Service Online Form through the link: https://tinyurl.com/wrmohotline, with their name, complete address, water service provider, and issue/concern/inquiry. Each form has a tracking number that can be used to check the status or progress of the concern with the WRMO. Or they may get in touch with the WRMO by sending a message to 0949-884-8927 (SMS or Viber), or email: wrmo@denr.gov.ph.
The WRMO was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 22, series of 2023. In coordination with all stakeholders, the office shall primarily be responsible for the integration and harmonization of all government efforts and regulatory activities to ensure availability and sustainable management of water resources in the whole country. ###
